Automotive Development Coach – £27,000 – £29,000 per annum

We are an Ofsted grade 2 independent training provider who have specialised in providing training within the sector for over 58 years. The Manchester site is well established as one of the largest specialist logistics training facilities in the UK. Through our two key brands, The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy we help thousands of individuals each year to gain new skills. This enables our learners to obtain employment within the logistics sector and drives the long-term growth of the industry We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including ALDI, GXO and Travis Perkins, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships and over 1000 HGV licences each year. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Manager to join our friendly team. The position is full-time, working 37.5 hours a week based in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

Role Overview

An Automotive Development Coach is responsible for building strong relationships with both learners and employer partners to ensure learners make consistent progress and achieve the best possible outcomes. You will also generate new business from clients within your caseload of employers.

Duties include but will not be limited to:

  • Ensure all training elements are completed in accordance with the End Point Assessment and Awarding Organisations’ requirements.  
  • To deliver quality and support that inspires apprentices and other learners to change behaviours and make positive impacts
  • Maintain centre records / systems so learner progress and accurately documented.  
  • Support learners through pathway, completing sign up paperwork then completing week 1 and 3 reviews with garage contact and learner
  • You will secure opportunities within the garages you currently attend, exploring pathway placements, pathway conversions, direct apprenticeship opportunities, other funded programmes and commercial business.
  • Support Automotive Manager to prevent early leavers and highlight potential issues 
  • Achieve key performance targets.  
  • You will support with learner and employer enrolment ensuring all sign-up documentation is completed.
  • Drive excellence in learner development by conducting timely reviews with mentors and learners, proactively addressing any employer or learner concerns through effective communication and collaboration, ensuring learners make timely progress on programme.
  • Ensure learners are completing journals timely
  • Ensuring Additional Learning Support (ALS) needs are accurately identified, reported and so all learners are fully supported.

Education and Knowledge

  • Math and English level 2 or equivalent 
  • Educated to NVQ level 2 or equivalent (Desirable)  
  • Assessor/ teaching award (Desirable)  

Experience

  • Experience in transport and logistics industry – warehouse, traffic office or as a driver  
  • Administration experience
